Account Termination

We don't lock customers into fixed term contracts, however billing runs on the 1st of each month - so it's a good idea to terminate before that date. 

In the scenario that you're not on positive terms with the client, our team can handle termination for you. If you're unsure about anything, don't hesitate to contact us.

Respond to the Client

We use the following message template when asked to terminate an account:

Sad to see that you are migrating away from Oncord! If you have the time, it would be great to hear your thoughts around could have been done differently to retain you.

To terminate your account, can you please confirm you have downloaded a back-up of your data, and have arranged a new email host if you were hosting email with Oncord.

You'll need to notify your new supplier that DNS will no longer be hosted by Oncord so they can make alternative arrangements. 

To download a back-up of your data, go to Dashboard > Settings > Backups:

I'll terminate your account as soon as we hear back from you, to prevent any further billing.

The above assumes that the client has admin access to the website - so if that's not the case, follow the instructions here to invite them as an administrator.

Terminate the Account

Terminating an account deletes all data - so you need to ensure that the client has downloaded a back-up of their data prior to terminating the account.

Login to the Oncord agency reseller console, view your websites, and click the terminate option on the relevant account.
