Preparing To Send An Email
Once you're happy with your e-mail message, it's time to choose your recipients, schedule the delivery, and send the message.
Get Started
To begin preparing your e-mail for sending:
- While editing an e-mail marketing message, click the "Next" button located on the left-hand side of the page.
Or
- Navigate to Dashboard > Marketing > E-mail.
- Click the "..." menu associated with the e-mail message you’d like to send.
- Click Prepare To Send.
Choose Recipients
The first step is to select the contacts who will receive your e-mail marketing message.
By default, all contacts with the subscription status of Subscribed will receive your e-mail message.
To refine your audience:
- Click Select Recipients
- Use the Filter by Conditions tool to target contacts based on specific conditions, such as Groups, past purchases or form submissions.

Excluded Contacts
Oncord will automatically exclude certain contacts from receiving your e-mail message:
- Contacts who have unsubscribed.
- Contacts who have the same e-mail address as another contact who has unsubscribed.
- Duplicate contacts (sharing the same e-mail address) - the message will only be sent once.
- Contacts won't receive the same e-mail message more than once, even if it's sent again later.
- Contacts included in multiple Groups will still only receive the message once.
Review Your Message
If you haven't done so already - be sure to send a test message to yourself before the final send.
- Click the Send to Test Recipients link to send a test to yourself, and other administrators.
- Test all links.
- Check for spelling and grammar errors.
- Ensure an Unsubscribe link has been included in the footer.
Schedule or Send Now
When you're ready:
- Click Schedule Send Later to choose a specific send date and time.
- Or click Send Now to send the e-mail message immediately.
After Sending
Once your campaign is sent, you can track performance and gather insights.
To view statistics:
- Navigate to Dashboard > Marketing > E-mail.
- Click on the sent e-mail message to view send statistics.
You'll see metrics such as:
- Open rates
- Link clicks
- Bounces
- Unsubscribes
