Adding Audio to a Page

You can add audio to a page by uploading a file or embedding audio from an external platform such as Spotify. Uploading stores the audio in your Oncord media folder, while embedding links to audio hosted on another platform. This guide explains how to add audio using both methods.

Embed or Upload?

There are two ways to add audio to a page.

Upload Audio

Upload a file from your computer and place it directly on the page.

  • Uses your Oncord storage and bandwidth.
  • The file is stored in the page’s media folder.
  • Suitable for audio files you host yourself.

Embed Audio

Embed audio from a third-party platform such as Spotify.

  • Does not use your storage or bandwidth.
  • Audio is hosted externally.
  • Suitable for podcasts or music platforms.

Uploading the Audio

To upload an audio file:

  • Open the page in the Page Editor.
  • Click Media on the left side of the editor.
  • Click Upload Files.
  • Select the audio file from your computer.
  • Drag the audio from the Media panel onto the page.

Note:
When you upload audio to a page, the file is stored in that page’s attached media folder. Audio uploaded to one page will not appear in another page’s media folder.

Embed Audio (Spotify example)

Most audio platforms provide an embed code that allows you to display audio on your website. An embed code is a small snippet of code that links content from an external platform. To embed audio:

  • Copy the embed code from the audio platform (for example, Spotify).
  • Open the page in the Page Editor.
  • Click Insert on the left side of the editor.
  • Drag the Embed Code element onto the page.
  • Paste the embed code into the settings panel.
  • Click Apply.

The audio player will appear on the page and play audio hosted on the external platform.
