Reddit E-commerce Conversion Tracking

Once the Reddit Pixel has been successfully created and installed on your Oncord website, you can configure Reddit ecommerce conversion tracking.

For Oncord ecommerce websites, the recommended approach is to use the Google tag (gtag.js) of Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Reddit can automatically receive ecommerce conversion events from the Google tag, including purchase values and transaction details.

The Google tag can be installed either:

• Directly into your website design.
• Via Google Tag Manager.

If you have not already installed the Google tag, complete that setup before configuring ecommerce conversion tracking.

How E-commerce Tracking Works

When a customer places an order on your website, Oncord automatically generates a Purchase event and passes the transaction value and currency information through the Google tag.

Reddit can use this information to record ecommerce conversions, helping you measure:

• Purchase conversions.
• Revenue generated from Reddit Ads.
• Return on ad spend (ROAS).
• Ecommerce campaign performance.

Verify Ecommerce Tracking

After the Google tag and Reddit Pixel have been installed, you can verify that purchase events are being recorded correctly.

After a purchase is completed, a Purchase event should appear in Events Manager along with the order value and currency information.

Event data may take some time to appear in Reddit Events Manager. If the event does not appear immediately, wait and check again later.

Once purchase events are being received successfully, Reddit Ads can use this data for conversion reporting, campaign optimisation, and audience building.
